Due to the extremely large number of morphs on some DAZ and Poser figures, Strata has created Strata: Morph, a morph system that accommodates the high number of morphs in limited memory and also provides a morph mixing interface to make it easier to work with the large morph sets and multiple figures. Strata: Morph consists of two components: a Morph Mixer extension that lets you control and animate morphs and a MorphLib that is the morph deformer system. Strata: Morph is also compatible with the Poser Importer. The Poser Importer will create a Morph Mixer for each object with morphs in the Poser file you are loading as long as Strata: Morph is installed.



Strata: Poser, Strata: MoCap, and Strata: Morph have been designed to accomplish two main goals: to enable Strata users access to the most sophisticated character animation figures available at low cost to the general market and to simplify the process of creating realistic animations.

Figures designed for the Poser market come in up to 75K polygon meshes, some with over 3,000 preinstalled body and animation morphs, with complete skeletons and with multi surface discontinuous UV texture mapping. In other words, it includes everything that is needed for high end character animation work.

In the past accessing these features has been very difficult. Tools available to date have only been able to load single OBJ file mesh shells, leaving out morphs and skeletons and requiring re-texturing. For the first time in the industry, Strata is including a Poser compatible mesh deformer. Joints will bend in Strata the same as they do in Poser. You no longer have to spend hours adjusting weight maps before using Poser models.
