This is the Texture tab of the Resource palette. It can be summoned two ways: by using the hotkey "r", or by selecting Show Resource Palette in the Windows menu on the main menu bar. Pressing the hotkey "r" again will minimize the palette.
· Select a texture by clicking on its preview image. The selected texture will have a black outline around its preview image, and a bullet beside it on the pop-up list. Both the list and the images are divided into folders, which appear as tabs on the Resource palette.
· New button. To create a new texture, hold down this button and then choose the texture type from the pop-up.
· Edit button. Click this button to summon the Texture Editing dialog and edit the selected texture.
· Apply button. Use this button to apply a selected texture to your selected object. You can also click and drag from the preview image to the object in the modeling window. Release the mouse when the object highlights in red.
· Import button. Use this button to import (load) textures from the textures library.
· Library button. Use this button to give you access to all textures in the library.
· Textures pop-up menu. Use this menu to choose from the list of available textures.
· Plus menu. Use this menu to Collapse (the palette), Save (a resource to disk), Delete Unused (resources), Replace Selected, and Exchange Selected.
