Playlist

Modeling a Tapered Triangular Tube Part 3In this segment, we will edit the position of a few vertices to create the rise on the bottom face of the triangular tube.

Tools and key concepts:

  • Vertex position editing
  • Use guide tool to control movement of vertices
  • Modifier keys to speed or slow nudge key movements
  • Resize object along one axis.

All tools and techniques shown in this video are possible in the SE version of Design 3D as well as the CX version.

Notes: In the polygon modeler, the shift key modifier increases nudge move distances by a factor of 10. The option or alt key modifier reduces the nudge move distance to 1/10 the value set for the move tool. The distance used by the move tool with no modifier key is set within a polygon model edit session, and is accessed by double-clicking the move tool.
