CHRIS TYLER:
This project walks through various aspects of modeling, setting up and lighting/rendering a trade show presentation type of scene.
Trade Show Scene, Part I. This tutorial walks through some initial scene setup for a trade show presentation area, in addition to the setup for a repeating wood floor pattern.
Trade Show Scene, Part II. This is the second tutorial in a series on creating a trade show scene. It walks through the arrangement of seating, with a focus on the use of shapes and instances.
Trade Show Scene, Part III. This is the third tutorial in a series on creating a trade show scene. It walks through the creation of the stage elements. It uses polygon editing and discusses the Scale attribute and also covers basic usage for the material subset function.
Trade Show Scene, Part IV. This is the fourth tutorial in a series on creating a trade show scene. It walks through the creation of the backdrop curtain using subdivision surfaces. It also discusses the use of the bezier tool as it relates to 3D geometry creation.
Trade Show Scene, Part V. This tutorial walks through the process of applying a bitmap to a polygon mesh. It walks through the process of taking an Illustrator file into Photoshop and then into Design 3D. It also shows how to place an instance precisely in the scene using the Object Properties palette.
