You must have Strata Design 3D CX 7.0.x in order to update to version 7.0.5. This updater will also update the PDF import extensions and Photoshop plug-ins if these have been installed into Strata Design 3D CX 7.
NOTE: The 7.0.5 update is NOT a Design 3D CXi update. Software purchased through the Mac App Store will be updated through the App Store.
What’s been fixed in 7.0.5:

Documentation Addenda for CX 7.0.5 Update
- Collada (.dae) is a popular file format for transferring data between applications. It will export image maps including bump, stencil, etc. The receiving application may or may not support the loading of some of these maps.
- When you export a Collada file, a dialog appears where you can choose from different export options.
- Flatten: This takes all of the objects in a model and moves them to the top level of the hierarchy. In the exported model there will not be any groups, and there will no longer be a hierarchy.
- Burn Transformations: This takes an object’s transformations and “burns” them into the exported mesh. Transformation information (such as position, rotation, scale and offset) is not retained as separate node data along with the mesh on export.
- Invert: Inverts transparency from the Collada standard. Some programs do not correctly set transparency in Collada files. If this is the case, use this option to invert the transparency on export.
- Invert Map: This is similar to the Invert option, but will only invert the outputted transparency map.
- PNG: Exports image maps as .png files.
- JPG: Exports image maps as .jpg files.
Polygon Editor, Edge-only Context Menu Commands:
- Select Non-Manifold: This command selects any non-manifold edges in the poly mesh. A non-manifold edge is an edge that is open (connected to only one face) or connected to more than two faces. Non-manifold edges can cause problems with Boolean and Subdivision operations.
- If you get an error or unexpected results in a Boolean operation, you may have one or more non-manifold edges in one of your objects. - To find any stray non-manifold edges, select Edge mode in the polygon editor. Use the Select Non-manifold context menu command to find any non-manifold edges in the object.
- If you find there are open edges, you will need to correct it. Make the surface of the mesh solid by filling in areas where edges are connected to only one face.
- If there are more than two edges, choose a face to delete or Unweld the edges. Then Weld (only) two edges back together.
