Using Smooth Mesh and Subdivision Surfaces to increase a polygon mesh resolution

This tutorial shows how to increase the resolution of a polygon mesh. It shows why the Smooth Mesh function can sometimes lead to a faceted look even after up-resing. It also shows why subdivision surfaces may be a better alternative. Finally, it shows how to adjust the source lathe object in order to increase the resolution of the derived polygon mesh without needing Smooth Mesh or subdivision surfaces.

Thank you, Chris, for spending the time to explain what was happening with the file I was creating. You helped me understand a few different things about smoothness and the endgons. I really appreciate the help! Keep up the great tutorials!
